Corrupted files? Missing DLL errors in Windows XP & 2000?  Here's a simple fix:  Click on START - then Programs - Accessories - Command Prompt. You'll see a black command window open.  Put your Windows Operating System Disk in the disk drive and type this after the >   sfc /scannow    (if the windows disk auto-plays, just tell it to exit)

A smaller window will open (you can close the black window with the x in the corner and continue working while it searches) with a progress bar.  The System File Checker utility will scour your computer for corrupted windows files and missing DLL files and replace them with good copies. When it's done, it will automatically close and your computer will run faster & better. Best of all, even if it doesn't find anything wrong, it can't hurt a thing. Call the local computerwiz.biz for problems big and small.
